The Hawaiian Nene goose is considered to be the rarest goose in the world with the total worldwide population thought to be around 2500. They make an excellent addition to any waterfowl collection and can become extremely friendly.
Size
Typical Adult is about 41cm (16in).
Food
Grasses, leaves, seeds, berries, and shrubs.
Habitat/Range
Shrubland, grasslands, coastal dunes, and lava plains on island of Hawaii and Maui.
Breeding
October to February.
Eggs
3 to 6 (creamy white).
